Do you want to lose 10, 30, 50 or more pounds? Have you recently reached your weight loss goal but want to maintain it? Are you willing to dedicate yourself to a healthy lifestyle? Then this blog is for you!

I have lost 118 pounds and have maintained the weight loss for two years. One of the things I have learned during the weight loss process is that it is much easier to reach and maintain your goal weight if you surround yourself with like-minded individuals to support you in the process (whether they be in person or online).

I also have learned that learning as much as possible about healthy living gives you the knowledge and expertise needed to lose weight the “right” way. So this blog includes regular posts, a book list, website list, TV list, video list and book and website of the month. In addition, there is a recipe of the month and product review section. Visitors to Weight Loss Aficionado can just enjoy the site for informational purposes or can comment on posts, ask questions, share resources, their triumphs and pitfalls during the weight loss process.

Purchase Kitchen Aides That Support Your Diet Goals!

·
There are four kitchen aides that in my opinion no dieter should be without: a food scale, a Yonanas machine, a Magic Bullet and a George Forman Grill.

A food scale is a must! When you are on a diet it is important that you follow the "one serving" guidelines. For example when you eat a serving of meat it should be about 4 oz. or when you eat a serving of pretzels it should be one ounce. When I started my diet in most instances what I saw a one serving was actually two! A scale gives you the power of portion control!

A Yonanas machine is a great addition to the kitchen! It makes homemade sorbet for you in minutes. All you do is put frozen fruit in and add some equal for sweetness and you are done. It comes with a recipe booklet that has "fun, delicious and healthy" recipes like blueberry pomegranate yonanas, lemon rasberry yonanas and key lime yonanas.  This is a great way to quench your sweet tooth and get your daily dose of fruit!

The magic bullet is a mini blender and food processor in one, with incredible power. It can blend almost any food. I use it almost everyday to quickly and easily make fresh low calorie smoothies directly in one of the party mugs they provide. The system even includes tops for travel.

The George Forman Grill quickly makes grilled meat, fish and vegetables for you. The great thing is that the oil drips right out of the machine during cooking into a oil tray. So you get none of the unwanted fat!

These kitchen gadgets have been a great help in my war of fighting the bulge! If you don't have them in your home already, try them out!
